Community Rowing Club Sydney encourages new athletes of all levels of experience and ability the opportunity to participate in the sport of rowing. The Leichhardt Park Community Boat Shed is a new home for the program, in an inclusive, fully accessible facility, allowing people of all abilities to enjoy the physical and atmospheric experience of rowing and access to harbour water.

The Boat Shed is a characterful 2-storey Boat Shed on piles over the waters of Iron Cove. Boat storage, rowing amenities and a public kiosk on the ground floor are accessed via a generous public deck providing unobstructed connection to the Leichhardt Park foreshore. An accessible ramp wraps around the building from the main entry to provide access to flexible rooms and harbour viewing decks on the first floor.

The Boat Shed offers a variety of communal uses, augmenting the existing community sporting assets and recreational facilities at Leichhardt Park. It is currently under DA assessment.
